Privacy policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Boundary Studio is made by Far Boundary (“we”). This policy explains what data the Boundary Studio app and this website handle. Contact: farboundarygames@gmail.com.
The app runs on your computer
Your conversations, project files, settings, usage records and notes are stored locally on your computer (in %APPDATA%\Forge). We do not receive them.
Claude and Anthropic
To do its work, Boundary Studio sends your prompts, along with the code and tool results the agent needs, to Anthropic:
- Claude Code (default): through the Claude Code CLI on your computer, signed in with your own Claude account. Boundary Studio never reads, copies or stores your Claude credentials.
- Anthropic API (optional): directly to Anthropic using your API key, which is stored encrypted on your computer.
Anthropic processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not see it.
Licence checks
On paid plans, the app checks your licence with our server (api.boundarystud.io) at launch and every 20 minutes. Each check sends:
- your licence key
- a machine identifier, used to lock the key to one computer
- a random one-time value that prevents replayed responses
Our server also sees your IP address, which is used only for short-term rate limiting and is not stored with your licence.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card details. When you buy, we store your licence key, plan, billing period, expiry, and the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers needed to keep your key in sync with your subscription. If email delivery is enabled, your licence key is sent to the email address you gave Stripe, using our email provider (Resend).
Optional features
- Discord Rich Presence is off by default. When you turn it on, the app shares your activity with the Discord app on your computer. Project and place names are shared only if you allow them.
- Other MCP servers you add yourself receive whatever the agent sends to them.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request logs, such as IP addresses, to serve and protect the site.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing farboundarygames@gmail.com. Deleting licence data ends the licence. We keep payment records for as long as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
